Noninvasive Brain Stimulation (10 May)

Noninvasive Brain Stimulation (10 May)

Location: CCL – The Lisbon Congress Centre

Date: Sunday, 10 May 2026

To Register

Since 2017, the Noninvasive Brain Stimulation Pre-conference Day has been a successful feature of the biennial INS Congress, presenting theme-based discussion of important issues and new areas of study in this rapidly expanding field.

This year’s pre-conference will feature an engaging day organized by international leaders:

Dr. Marom Bikson will chair an update on New Science and Technologies of Non-Invasive Neuromodulation, where leading experts will discuss new mechanisms and neurophysiology of NIBS and their impact of therapy including boosting neuroplasticity and brain transport / vascular modulation.

Dr.  Noah Philip will lead a panel of speakers on novel clinical application of noninvasive brain stimulation including TMS, tDCS, Temporal Interference (TI), and Ultrasound Neuromodulation for chronic pain, depression, and other indications.

This day of exciting talks and interactive dialog will be of interest to basic scientists and clinicians alike and provide a great introduction to noninvasive brain stimulation along an update of the most advance science and technology.

Objectives
  • Discuss the challenges in developing targeted noninvasive brain stimulation approaches to clinical and research problems
  • Explore the opportunities presented by functional imaging and other measures for quantifying and targeting non-invasive brain stimulation
  • Apply new noninvasive paradigms for modulating brain networks and systems
  • Demonstrate how neuroscience approaches used to understand brain networks and circuits can be applied to the development of novel brain stimulation therapeutic interventions
