Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues and Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the entire organising team, I am delighted to welcome you to the INS 2026 Congress in the stunning city of Lisbon, Portugal, from 9-14 May 2026. This event is poised to be a truly remarkable gathering, and I am excited to share with you the exceptional experiences and opportunities we have planned.
The theme of this year’s congress, “Neuromodulation: Bridging Minds, Machines, and Medicine,” reflects the ever-evolving nature of our field. Our scientific program will encompass a broad range of topics, including traditional neuromodulation areas such as pain, spasticity and movement disorders, as well as emerging fields such as epilepsy, noninvasive neuromodulation and vagal nerve stimulation. Our scientific program committee, led by Robert Levy, Lisa Goudman, and Ryan D’Souza have worked incredibly hard to develop an excellent program. There have been a tremendous number of high-quality submissions and the content presented is sure to be innovative, insightful and diverse.
One of the things that makes the INS Congress unique is the unparalleled opportunity it provides to connect with neuromodulators from across the globe. Whether you are a neurosurgeon, neurologist, psychiatrist, biomedical engineer, pain specialist, nurse or allied health professional, this congress serves as a platform to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and discuss the latest advancements in our field. The networking opportunities are immense, offering attendees a chance to build relationships, share successes, and work together to enhance patient care worldwide.
Lisbon, with its rich cultural history and welcoming atmosphere, will provide the perfect setting for this event. In addition to world-class conference facilities, the city offers a vibrant environment for both learning and exploration. I encourage you to take time to discover the beautiful city, the surrounding areas and enjoy all that Portugal has to offer.
As we continue to build upon the growth and success of past congresses, I am confident that this year’s event will not only further our understanding of neuromodulation but also inspire new ideas, partnerships and research.
I look forward to the vibrant discussions, scientific presentations and exciting discoveries that await us in Lisbon.
Warm regards,
Stana Bojanic
