Public Education Event
As part of their educational missions, the International Neuromodulation Society (INS) and the Portuguese Neuromodulation Society, will offer a free public event.
Location: Pavilion 3 | Room 3C
Date & Time: Wednesday, 13 May 13:30 – 18:00
This event is open to patients and their family and friends facing conditions like chronic pain, Parkinson’s disease and post stroke spasticity. Interested members of the public, media representatives, and professionals are also welcome.
Local medical experts and patients will share their knowledge during the afternoon with the aim of raising awareness of potentially life-altering neuromodulation therapies.
Carefully curated, this event aims to spotlight challenging health issues that can be effectively managed with established and medication-free therapies, such as deep brain stimulation or spinal cord stimulation.
Dedicated Q&A sections have been incorporated into the program so that audience members will have time to ask questions.
This free-of-charge public event precedes the International Neuromodulation Society (INS) 17th World Congress, whose scientific program takes place in Lisbon 9 May through 14 May, 2026.
